About Dr. Chopra
Anil Chopra, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with Arundel Medical Group, Inc., in Glen Burnie, Maryland. He earned his medical degree from LLRM Medical College in India and holds additional medical credentials through the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh and Glasgow in the United Kingdom. Dr. Chopra is also a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in Dublin, Ireland.
After relocating to the United States, Dr. Chopra completed his internal medicine training at Prince George’s Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland, where he served as chief resident. He brings more than 25 years of clinical experience to the care of adult patients.
Dr. Chopra treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions and emphasizes prevention through healthy lifestyle guidance and thorough, routine physical examinations. He performs physicals for the Department of Transportation, the Merchant Marines, and the Coast Guard, and is designated by the FAA as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) to conduct Class I, II, and III flight physicals. He is also a designated civil surgeon through the Department of Homeland Security to perform immigration medical examinations.
Known for his respectful, compassionate approach, Dr. Chopra takes time to listen and understand each patient’s concerns. When appropriate, he incorporates holistic, whole-person care—mind, body, and spirit—while aiming to avoid unnecessary procedures and medications.

Dr. Chopra been treating me and my family for the past two decades. He’s an amazing doctor who is detail oriented, thorough, and very compassionate. He once treated me for a dangerous pneumonia.
